Ekiti Female Gov Hopeful Reveals 7-Point Agenda

Abimbola Olawunmi, a female governorship hopeful under the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, has introduced a comprehensive seven-point plan designed to transform, empower, and revitalize the state.

Her blueprint is centered on expanding the state’s economic opportunities, creating jobs, revitalizing education, reforming healthcare, and ensuring open, honest governance.

Speaking to journalists during a media parley in Abuja on Sunday, Olawunmi explained that her ambition to lead Ekiti State is fueled by a deep dedication to its people and a strong belief that Ekiti can reach far greater heights.

She lamented that previous administrations, largely made up of career politicians, have not tapped into Ekiti’s rich human and natural potential, leading to persistent challenges for the state.

Olawunmi shared, “Years of neglect have left our youth without opportunities, our economy stagnating, and many of our citizens enduring unnecessary hardship. The deliberate perpetuation of poverty in Ekiti must end.”

She continued, “There is an immediate need to break this pattern of underdevelopment and mismanagement. My vision is to serve Ekiti people selflessly and transparently, putting the welfare and progress of all above personal interests.”

“I want to see an Ekiti State that every citizen can be proud of, built on strong infrastructure, vibrant communities, and empowered citizens.”

“My passion is to reverse the current state of affairs, accelerate real development, restore vital infrastructure, and create meaningful opportunities, especially for our youth and public servants.”

If elected, the governorship aspirant promised to make citizen empowerment — particularly women and young people — a cornerstone of her administration.

“My strategy revolves around a seven-point agenda that will touch every sector essential for Ekiti’s progress,” she said.
