EDUFEST Inspires Learning in Lagos, Oyo, and Ekiti

Ripple of Kindness, a leading non-governmental organisation, has launched EDUFEST—a dynamic, multi-stage festival designed to inspire and empower secondary school students.

EDUFEST is set to challenge the misconception among youths that school lacks value by highlighting the transformative power of education for both individuals and society.

This innovative festival seeks to reignite students’ passion for learning, motivate them to achieve academic excellence, and arm them with practical skills for lifelong success.

Bringing together participants from Ekiti, Oyo, and Lagos, EDUFEST provides a vibrant and friendly atmosphere where students can showcase their creativity, develop new ideas, and enjoy the spirit of healthy competition.

The event unfolds across three exciting stages, culminating this November in Lagos where state finalists will compete for the coveted championship title.

Olakunle Opeyemi, Project Lead for EDUFEST 2025, described the festival as more than just a contest—it’s a movement dedicated to restoring the true meaning and importance of education.

“Our goal is to help young people see that education can be fun, empowering, and life-changing. The enthusiasm we’ve witnessed in the first stage has been phenomenal, and we anticipate an even greater impact in the final round,” Opeyemi shared.

To date, the initiative has engaged students from 15 schools across three states, with more than 100 students participating directly and many more benefiting indirectly through various community and school-driven activities.
