Joe Igbokwe Criticizes Sowore for Tinubu Comments and Asks for Apology

A strong critic of activist-politician Omoyele Sowore, APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe, has chastised Sowore for labeling President Bola Tinubu as a criminal.

Expressing his disapproval on a social platform, Igbokwe urged Sowore to retract his statement and issue an apology to the president. He emphasized that Tinubu surpasses Sowore in accomplishments, highlighting the president’s extensive achievements.

In his message, Igbokwe stated, “I became acquainted with Sowore through my good friend Peter Claver, both University of Lagos alumni. Our friendship has endured, allowing for mutual contemplation and interaction over the years.”

“However, I was deeply shocked when he unjustly referred to the current Nigerian President, PBAT, as a criminal.”

“I advised him to retract his baseless remarks and extend an apology to the President and the Nigerian populace. Regrettably, he has yet to offer an apology to the President or the citizens who entrusted him with their votes.”

“PBAT stands far above Sowore. He boasts an international Chartered Accountant title, exceptional scholarly achievements, past roles as a Senator and Governor of Lagos State, and now leads Nigeria, the most populous and resource-rich country in Africa.”

“PBAT’s impact on Nigeria over the past 30 years remains unparalleled. I urge scrutiny and investigation to confirm this truth.”

“Sowore’s activities post-UNILAG presidency seem limited to activism and legal battles, lacking comparable national influence. His vociferous dissent and focus on divisive actions are counterproductive and out of touch with reality.”

“Engrossed in ceaseless agitation, Sowore overlooks personal responsibilities as his family resides in the US. His preoccupation with street protests becomes trivial and outdated.”

“By branding our elected President a criminal, Sowore undermines the entire Nigerian populace, a stance that is unacceptable and absurd.”

“I advise Sowore, as a friend, to retract his unfounded statements, issue a public apology to the President and Nigerians, and cease his futile confrontations for the greater good.”
