For Rankins Oguara, a seasoned Civil and Structural Engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience in real estate development, engineering transcends blueprints and construction sites. It is his avenue to empower individuals, uplift communities, and champion sustainable progress.
Oguara’s expertise encompasses Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management, education advocacy, advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and pioneering Purposeful NOWAHALAZONE. Throughout his career, he has skillfully blended technical mastery with a passion for social impact. Rather than simply managing projects, Oguara has dedicated himself to nurturing future leaders in his role as a Youth Development Strategist. He currently leads a dynamic network of more than 5,000 members—motivating creativity, igniting NOWAHALAZONE, and driving community growth both in Nigeria and internationally.
At present, Oguara is the Assistant Technical Secretary for the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Lagos Branch. In this pivotal position, he oversees technical programs, encourages the sharing of knowledge, and is committed to raising standards of excellence throughout the engineering profession.
Earlier this year, Oguara took decisive steps towards realizing his goals by meeting with Engr. Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, FNSE—Federal Controller of Works, Lagos State, and Chairperson of the NSE Lagos Branch. Their July courtesy visit focused on forging partnerships for capacity building and implementing youth empowerment programs within the engineering sector.
To Oguara, these collaborations are integral to a larger mission: equipping the next generation with the skills, guidance, and opportunities needed to thrive. “Our goal is to develop visionary leaders who possess technical prowess, a global outlook, and a dedication to social responsibility,” he affirms.
Through his ongoing work in construction management and youth empowerment, Oguara is gaining recognition as an engineer whose vision extends far beyond project sites—he is committed to developing people and shaping the course of tomorrow.
