SportyTV, Nigeria’s leading free-to-air sports broadcaster, has secured exclusive rights to show the next four FIFA World Cup qualifiers featuring the Super Eagles. With this deal, Nigerian football fans nationwide can cheer on their team live and free as the road to the 2026 World Cup—set in the USA, Canada, and Mexico—heats up.
Fans can watch every kick live on StarTimes DTT (channel 258), StarTimes DTH (channel 190), the SportyTV mobile app (available on both iOS and Android), and the official SportyTV YouTube channel, according to SportyTV representatives.
Coverage starts on September 6, when the Super Eagles face Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Next, Nigeria heads south to take on South Africa in a vital away fixture on September 9. Two more high-stakes matches follow in October: first against Lesotho on October 6, and then a clash with Benin Republic on October 13.
“This is the first time SportyTV will bring the pride of Nigeria directly to our people—completely free,” said Elias Gallego, Vice President of Business Development, Marketing & Media at Sporty Group. “After a summer where we showed our dedication to fans by airing free Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, and LaLiga games every weekend, we’re raising the bar. There’s nothing more exciting than broadcasting the Super Eagles as they battle for a spot at the World Cup. It’s a proud moment for SportyTV and for fans across Nigeria.”
